Our client is a large retail group based throughout Ireland and UK. They are currently seeking to hire a Packaging Technology Manager to manage the design and manufacture of their own brand packaging.\n\nJob Summary\n\nYou will work with the Product Development team and Buying offices to create a new and exciting range of private label products. Our client will be developing non-food as well as food products but the majority of the packaging role will be in the development of fresh, frozen and ambient private label food. You will work with teams to identify new sources of supply for their own private label needs. You will analyse market trends and share data with the Buying team to understand developments in the food industry.\n\n \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n• To manage artwork designs with all required stakeholders – Suppliers, Buyers, Product Developers, Packaging Co-ordinator, Technical Manager, Design Agencies and Print Houses;\n• Manage small team of Packaging Co-ordinators;\n• Liaise with Suppliers on keylines and printer details;\n• Liaise with Printers and Suppliers on packaging substrates and capabilities;\n• Trafficking artworks to all stakeholders for feedback/amendments;\n• Manage and co-ordination of all change requests back to the designers / printers and fully documenting all requests;\n• Project manage all stakeholders in relation to critical paths and ensuring timely delivery of packaging projects and managing expectations;\n• Manage and co-ordinate release artwork and ensuring printers PDF’s and chromalins / colour proofs are received and re-proofed and any issues corrected;\n• Managing and maintaining the artwork database and packaging files – softcopy and hardcopy, and ensuring the department has full visibility and access to this;\n• Quality checks on packaging in store and implementing the required corrective action reports including documentation and ensuring that issues get closed off;\n• Manage the collation of packaging samples of completed artworks and keeping them with hardcopy packaging files for reference.

Electrical Design Engineer \nWe require an Electrical Design Engineers with 6 years plus experience. The successful candidate will have experience in Electrical control and instrumentation system design and will be required to work within the electrical team to design and develop power, control, and instrumentation systems for tidal energy projects including power conversion and grid connection methods.\n \nMain Duties & Responsibilities:\n• Work within the engineering design team to develop EC&I systems appropriate for the subsea environment.\n• Prepare component specifications and liaise with suppliers on procurement.\n• Liaise with Local Utility Operators to formalise connection agreement.\n• Liaise with specialist suppliers of submarine cables and electrical equipment.\n• Develop condition monitoring systems (sensors, data acquisition).\n• Liaise with and assist the manufacturing department as required.\n• Partner with and support the Project Management team to support client requests as required.\n• Support the Operations team with all offshore testing & client activity as required.\n• Ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are followed in accordance with company policies.\n• Ensure that all works are performed as defined Quality Management System (OHMS). \no Other duties as required from time to time.\nEssential Skills \n• Minimum 6 years Electrical Design Engineering experience, with significant time served in industrial automated system applications. \n• Excellent analytical and electrical problem solving skills.\n• Proactive engineers with a positive approach to problem solving and a customer focus. \n• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating evidence of ability to work well in team.\n• Experience of dealing with external customers and contractors.\n• Practical approach to work with an emphasis on simplicity of design and operation\n• Ability to cooperate closely with Mechanical & Marine Engineers as our machines are complex electro-mechanical devices operating in a harsh environment.\nDesirable Experience\n• Working knowledge of grid compliant power conditioning.\n• Experience of power transmission in a marine environment.\n• Electrical engineering design experience in R&D and/or the renewable energy industry.\n• Experience specifying or programming industrial PLCs for automated control.\n
